Watch the new video for rapper B.o.B’s official lead single, “Nothin’ On You”, featuring R&B newcomer Bruno Mars on the hook. TheWaitingRoom has been a B.o.B supporter since day 1 and I see big things in his future, especially with such a catchy-ass single.

“Nothin’ On You” comes from B.o.B’s debut album on Atlantic Records, ‘The Adventures of Bobby Ray‘ – in stores April 27th! You can download the mp3 of “Nothin’ On You” here.

Top 10 Anticipated Albums of 2010

TheWaitingRoom’s
TOP 10 ANTICIPATED ALBUMS of 2010

Exactly one year ago I ran down my Top 5 Most Anticipated Albums for 2009 – and as unpredictable as the music biz is these days, only two of those albums were actually released this past year. Now it’s 2010 and it’s that time again – so which ten albums am I looking forward to the most? Will they all even be out by this time next year?
Maybe. Maybe not. Either way, I can’t wait!

Keep in mind these are not in any particular order.

  1. Corinne Bailey Rae – ‘The Sea‘ (Jan. 26th)
  2. Sade – ‘Soldier of Love‘ (Feb. 8th)
  3. Erykah Badu – ‘New AmErykah Part 2: Return of the Ankh‘ (March 30th)
  4. Christina Aguilera – ‘Bionic‘ (April)
  5. Marsha Ambrosius – TBA (debut solo – June)
  6. B.o.B – ‘The Adventures of Bobby Ray‘ (May 25th)
  7. Maxwell – ‘blackSUMMERS’night‘ (follow-up to ‘BLACKsummers’night’)
  8. Janet Jackson – TBA (new studio album)
  9. Monica – TBA
  10. Amy Winehouse – TBA (let’s see if she can finally get this out)
    *BONUS UPDATE*
  11. Jill Scott – ‘The Light of the Sun – Words and Sounds, Vol. 4‘ (Spring/Summer)

So who are you looking forward to? Who will actually get an album out before the end of 2010? Can Amy Winehouse get her act together and finally release the follow-up to her classic ‘Back to Black’? Will Maxwell’s follow-up to his smash comeback album be as good – or maybe even better? Will Janet’s new album put her back on top of the charts? What about Xtina’s new music with the likes of Santigold, Tricky, Diplo, and Ladytron?

I guess we’ll just have to wait… and see.

Just in time for Turkey Day, B.o.B (aka Bobby Ray) fans and followers will be thankful to finally hear the supposed lead single, “Nothin’ On You”, off his upcoming Grand Hustle/Atlantic Records debut album, ‘The Adventures of Bobby Ray‘. The catchy vocals on the hook come courtesy of fellow Atlantic artist Bruno Mars (check out his MySpace).

I haven’t posted about him in a while, but up-&-coming emcee/singer/songwriter B.o.B still holds a special place in my heart… or at least my iTunes library.
Recently B.o.B (aka Bobby Ray) was recruited by Reebok to remix A Tribe Called Quest’s classic song “Bonita Applebum” for the release of their new Reebok Classic Remix line. The result? The fresh song (and here now video), “Put Me On”. Watch the video below, and download the song here.
PS: I love the look on B.o.B’s face (above) when he opens the fridge – LOL!

If you’re an avid reader of the blog you might remember this new artist, B.o.B – a forward-thinking rapper, singer, and musician (he plays the guitar and piano) who comes to us straight out of Atlanta. Here is his recently released video for his great song “Generation Lost”.

Nothing is sexier than smart hip-hop, except maybe the artists who make it.

If you missed it

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Atlantic Records’ B.o.B. has had a growing buzz in the industry over the past year or two. I just happen to be flipping through channels and caught this video on MTV Jams. I had heard of him and seen his name in a few magazines, but hadn’t seen or heard his work. I’m feeling his style and fun, fresh approach to his music.

Check him out at his official MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/bobatl
